Always seek professional help when colouring your hair.
Don't play with chemicals at home yourself.
I was asked to colour and lighten a ladies hair (From dark brown to blonde) the other day who had been using home box colour for some years.
I took a strand test as usual to see what I could do.
After four hours, using the strongest professional developer, this was the result. (see pic below)
A very uneven finish due to years of colour build up. This will only happen with box colour. This will not happen with professional colour. This is why we hairdressers recommend professional colour. It's not just because we are touting for your custom.
Personally, I am all about hair care. You may want the latest colour trend but if I feel it will damage your hair because of the many processes you already have, I won't recommend it.
